Led by former Australian Special Forces Commander Ben Grumley, Mission Ready Group delivers leadership development programs designed for complex and high-risk environments.
Our backgrounds include leading complex, multi-agency operations, developing trusted relationships with strategic stakeholders, designing and implementing international leadership programs, and preparing individuals and teams for missions where uncertainty and consequence are constant.
During periods of our service we specialised in selecting and training world-class leaders and operators for service in the Australian Special Forces. In this role we designed, implemented, and instructed on specialised courses in leadership, communication, tactical planning and decision making.
During our careers we have also co-ordinated and lead multiple development camps for Sydney University Football Club, Souths Sydney Rabbitohs, Wests Tigers, Manly Warringah Sea Eagles, and the Australian Institute of Sport to build mental resilience amongst athletes in the lead up to Tokyo Olympic Games. We have also instructed at the Australian Graduate School of Management and International College, Sydney with a focus on leadership, resilience, teamwork, and communication.

FOUNDER
Ben Grumley - Founder & Managing Director
Ben Grumley is a highly experienced leadership practitioner, former Australian Special Forces Commander, and trusted advisor to senior military and government leaders. With nearly two decades of service in the Australian Defence Force, including within Special Operations Command, Ben has led, trained, and developed individuals, small teams, and large organisations in some of the most complex and high-risk environments globally. His operational experience spans peacekeeping in Timor-Leste, combat operations in Afghanistan and Iraq, and domestic counter-terrorism, where leadership, decision-making, and performance under pressure were critical to mission success.
Ben has recently returned to Australia following his tenure as Senior Advisor within the Presidential Guard of the United Arab Emirates (2023–2025). In this role, he designed and implemented leadership and development training for hundreds of officers and soldiers, while providing strategic and operational advice to senior Emirati commanders. This experience further strengthened his ability to deliver scalable leadership programs across large, diverse organisations and translate high-performance leadership into institutional capability.
Previously, Ben commanded and developed organisations of over 150 personnel and led the design and delivery of leadership training within the Australian Special Forces. As Officer Commanding Training Wing, he was responsible for selecting and training elite leaders, designing courses focused on leadership, communication, planning, and decision-making. He has a proven ability to translate high-performance leadership frameworks into practical, scalable solutions for corporate, government, and industrial environments.
As the Founder and Managing Director of Mission Ready Group, Ben has worked with corporate organisations, educational institutions, elite sporting teams, and government agencies to enhance leadership capability, resilience, and performance. His approach combines operational credibility with practical application, enabling organisations to build leaders at every level—from frontline supervisors to senior executives—while strengthening culture, accountability, and decision-making across the enterprise.
